FREEDOM KIDS MINISTRY

Weekly Meeting Time: Fridays @ 7:00 pm

We know that our children are the next generation and we take this very seriously. Our teachers and volunteers are Yah-sent and have a passion and gifting to teach the next generation of believers. Our vision is that the children will gain the understanding that they are royalty and daughters and sons of the Most-High in the Kingdom of Heaven. We want them to feel His presence in everything they do, to know His love for them; to have a natural outflow of faith and obedience; to strive to make good God choices, to strive to make the Torah “the living word of Yeshua” the most important part of their journey in this life; to learn how to have a relationship with the Most-High; to understand and know YAH intimately; to walk in their identities with creativity, passion and love; to cause change in their families, their schools, and their communities.

Classes

Freedom Kids classes are available for children from 3-11 years old. During our worship time, the children are given a special blessing and impartation and released to attend their own worship time and classes.

Nursery

Our Childcare Room is attended by an approved volunteer or paid attendant for kids up to age 3 who can be without their parents. The Childcare Room provides a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where babies and toddlers are cared for and prayed for. It is available on Friday evenings for the entire worship service, beginning at 6:45pm. Our Nursing Mom’s Room is a separate space available for parents with infants who need a quiet space to care for their baby while listening to the service via remote TV.

Ministry Opportunities

Freedom Kids is always in need of passionate, energetic people to join the team and lead God’s kids into His presence. Teachers and helpers are scheduled for up to three months at a time, on a rotation. Training, materials, and background checks are provided for all of our children’s and nursery’s volunteers and employees.

A Note from Shanita, Children’s Director:

Welcome! I am so excited you are reading this; we have an amazing volunteer team here from teachers, grandmas, youth, pastors, moms, and even sometimes dads that I couldn’t do this without. THANK YOU, and BLESS YOU!

A little about myself:

I have been a missionary to Native Reservations, Costa Rica, and China; a teacher in China; volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, women’s shelters, crisis pregnancy centers, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, orphanages throughout my life and now I am a mom. I love worship and have been singing since I could speak. I have been in a relationship with the Most-High since I was four years old. I love my daddy He takes such good care of me and blows my mind away every day I am alive… I have so many “God Stories” ask me about them sometime.

Children have been on my heart since I can remember, they are so innocent and see things that maybe you and I have forgotten or just can’t see due to life. Just as there is much for children to learn from us, I believe we also can learn so much from them. In the Torah Yeshua says “let the children come unto me”

Luke 18:16-18 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

16 However, Yeshua called the children to him and said, “Let the children come to me, and stop hindering them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17 Yes! I tell you that whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will not enter it at all!”18 One of the leaders asked him, “Good rabbi, what should I do to obtain eternal life?”

I think this scripture speaks volumes that even Yeshua wanted the Children to go to Him, so why wouldn’t we. He said do not hinder them because the Kingdom of God Belongs to them. Through ministry we want to equip your children and give them the tools to go out into the world, and not to become the world. I pray at the end of every year, very seriously what Yeshua wants to teach them and He answers so faithfully. I do not take this responsibility lightly as it is an honor to be teaching the next generation. My prayer is that EVERY child from whatever kind of life knows the Father and feels the love that He has for them, and that they will NEVER stray from Him and His Kingdom, that through children’s ministry time they will gather up the tools (weapons of warfare) to help them in this life and that the Holy Spirit will guide them and they will know how to have discernment and make the right God choices.
